ReBake was founded by the team behind CAKE, Here is the story of why ReBAKE exists and what it is built to do.

The founding team is built on long-standing relationships and a shared mission.

Karl Ytterborn has spent most of his professional career in electric mobility, most recently as CMO at Flux Motorcycles and CAKE, where he helped build one of the most recognized electric motorcycle brands of its era. Stefan Ytterborn, Chairman of ReBake, founded both POC and CAKE. Nils Ytterborn served as Chief of Drivetrain at CAKE. Svante Holm built his career at Apple and Logitech before joining ReBake as CCO. Harry Mills founded Mills Tech and brings more than fifteen years of experience in electric vehicle manufacturing, with projects spanning Tesla, Zero Motorcycles, Voi, and Unu Scooters.

Harry and Nils first crossed paths during the Tesla Cyberquad project—a vehicle that was developed but never brought to market. The working relationship endured.

Together, the team had watched the category they helped build run into the same wall twice: scaling costs, accessibility gaps, and a funding climate that turned cold fast. CAKE proved that demand for design-led electric two-wheelers existed. It did not solve the price equation.

By February 2024, CAKE had filed for bankruptcy. The team had a front-row seat to what happens when premium engineering, European manufacturing, and mass-market pricing fail to align.

ReBake is the conclusion drawn from that experience.

Not a continuation of CAKE, but a response to the lessons learned. A new company, a new product, and a new approach built around a simple ambition: making high-quality electric mobility accessible to the people who actually need it.

The Abler is the first expression of that mission.
